Lebanese Resistance Brigades conducts operations to observe July war
The Lebanese Resistance Brigades, founded decades ago with the goal of fighting the Israeli occupation, marks a return on the occasion of Operation Truthful Promise.
The Lebanese Resistance Brigades issued a statement Monday detailing its involvement in the ongoing war against the Israeli occupation along the southern region bordering occupied Palestine.
According to the statement, the Lebanese Resistance Brigades has been actively engaged on the ground since October 8, 2023, when operations in support of Gaza commenced. The group continues to perform logistical support duties and has reported casualties among its fighters.
The statement further explained that the Resistance faction's contributions have been tailored to the demands of the battlefield, following a specific and undisclosed strategy due to the nature and circumstances of managing the war.
As the situation has evolved with increasing threats and assaults from the Israeli side, the Lebanese Resistance Brigades emphasized its direct involvement in confronting any threats or aggression against Lebanon.
The statement underlined that the message directed to the Israeli occupation is clear: "The Lebanese people will not relinquish their right to defend their land, sovereignty, and resources, and the Islamic resistance is not alone on the battlefront. Additionally, the Lebanese youth are urged not to remain neutral amid the threat of an expanded war and major confrontation."
The Brigades also declared its decision to participate actively in the operations against the enemy, marking the 18th anniversary of the July War, or Operation Truthful Promise, as the starting point. The aim is to demonstrate their presence along the entire southern front, from the Kfar Chouba Hills and Shebaa Farms to the final point at Lebanon's fortified borders.
The faction stressed its high state of military preparedness to confront any attack or foolish attempt by the Israeli occupation if it considered broadening the confrontation into a larger war.
Furthermore, the Brigades' statement underscored its national role, representing the full spectrum of Lebanese identities. It affirmed its commitment to "being at the forefront of honorable resistance, defending its land, people, and national dignity."
"The group pledged to continue its operations and strikes against the arrogant enemy, working in coordination with defensive fronts supporting the Lebanese people and aiding the Palestinian cause. The Brigades is prepared to make sacrifices for this cause," the statement stressed.
In conclusion, the statement called upon all Lebanese youth, from every background and sect, to "fulfill their national duties on all fronts and to enhance readiness and preparedness to confront the enemy."
The statement concluded by underlining that the Israeli occupation's war of extermination being waged daily against the Palestinian people in the most brutal and inhumane manner affects everyone indiscriminately, whether Lebanese, or more broadly Arab, Muslim, or Christian.
Lebanese Resistance Brigades conducts first operation since Oct. 8
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced that the fighters of the Lebanese Resistance Brigades bombarded the Roueissat al-Qarn site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms with artillery rockets, hitting it directly.
This is the first operation that the Brigades carried out against the Israeli occupation since the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023, and the subsequent operations launched by Hezbollah in support of the Gaza Strip and its Resistance on October 8.
It is noteworthy that in October, the Lebanese Resistance Brigades mourned two of its fighters, Ali Kamal Abdel Aal "Jihad" and Hussein Hassan Abdel Aal "Bilal", from the town of Helta in southern Lebanon, who were martyred while performing their national duty.
The Brigades' operation aims to fulfill its founding goal since March 1998, which is to resist Israeli occupation of Lebanese territories and liberate them, alongside other Resistance factions.
