Lebanese Resistance declares readiness amid 'Israel' offensive shift
Amid Israeli threats to launch a full-scale war on Lebanon, the Lebanese Resistance declares its full readiness.
During an interview with al-Alam television, the head of the Lebanese Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc in the parliament, Mohammad Raad, says the Resistance movement is fully prepared for all scenarios.
On Tuesday evening, he dismissed the Israeli occupation's threat of military action against Lebanon, stressing that such intimidation is merely intended to boost the Israeli forces' morale amid the war on Gaza.
Raad pointed out that “the Zionist entity knows that these threats are an object of ridicule among the parties that are well aware of its [military] … weaknesses. The enemy may opt to commit a folly against Lebanon, but such actions will be tantamount to its suicide."
The senior Lebanese lawmaker remarked that "Israel" cannot regain its lost security, noting that its only option is to end its aggression against Gaza. He emphasized that Hezbollah remains steadfast in its solidarity with the Palestinians amid the ongoing violent military offensive against the Gaza Strip.
'Shift to offense'
Meanwhile, the Israeli military Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi claimed that the occupation is prepared to “shift to offense” in its confrontations with Hezbollah along the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
“We are approaching the point where a decision will have to be made, and the [Israeli army] is prepared and very ready for this decision,” Halevi said while touring an army base in Kiryat Shmona, which was subjected to heavy drone attacks by the Lebanese Resistance.
He said, “We have been attacking for eight months and Hezbollah is paying a very, very high price. It has increased its strengths in recent days and we are prepared after a very good process of training … to move to an attack in the North.”
“[We have] strong defense, readiness to attack, [and] we are approaching a decision point.”
Raad’s comments came after Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed that Hezbollah is prepared for a full-scale war if "Israel" chooses to escalate the conflict in Lebanon.
Qassem's remarks come as tensions between the Israeli occupation and Lebanon are peaking following a series of Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon and subsequent retaliatory attacks from Hezbollah on occupied Palestine.
He also dismissed claims that UNIFIL forces are withdrawing from the Lebanese-Israeli border, stating that these reports are false. He added that Hezbollah has only used a small fraction of its capabilities in the recent fighting and that the United States has not made any serious decision to halt the Israeli war on Lebanon.
