Lebanese resistance regained strength, endures: Sheikh Qassem
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem confirms that the attack on southern Lebanon is an assault on both the state and the international community, emphasizing that the resistance has regained its strength.
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem confirmed on Wednesday that the party had successfully halted the enemy's advance through resistance, and now it is the Lebanese state's opportunity to demonstrate its strength.
In his speech at the fourth international conference honoring scholar Mohammad Taqi Mesbah Yazdi in Tehran, Sheikh Qassem described the attack in southern Lebanon as an assault on both the state and the international community.
He added, "The resistance endures, has regained its strength, and is backed by a loyal group that enables it to grow stronger."
It is worth noting that the Israeli occupation continues to violate the ceasefire agreement since its implementation, bombing homes and targeting civilians, resulting in the martyrdom of several citizens and injuries to others.
In another violation of ceasefire, 'Israel' targets Lebanon's east
An Israeli airstrike targeted on December 25 the Baalbek region in eastern Lebanon, Lebanon's state media reported, denouncing it as a breach of the November 27 ceasefire agreement between "Israel" and Hezbollah, which ended over one year of war.
According to Lebanon's National News Agency, the airstrike near the town of Taraya did not cause any injuries, labeling the Israeli assault as the "first breach of the ceasefire agreement" in the Baalbek region.
A committee comprising representatives from the United States, France, Lebanon, "Israel", and United Nations peacekeepers is responsible for monitoring the ceasefire and addressing any violations.
Lebanon has urged all parties, especially the United States and France, to persuade "Israel" to expedite its withdrawal from southern Lebanon as stipulated in the agreement.
Under the terms of the truce, the Lebanese Army and peacekeepers will be deployed in southern Lebanon while the Israeli military is set to withdraw over 60 days, culminating in January 2025.
