Lebanese security forces arrest 8 ISIS terrorists in Beqaa
The Lebanese security forces arrest 8 ISIS members recruited by the ISIS terrorist group to carry out attacks, one of which against the army headquarters.
After launching several intelligence operations, the Lebanese security forces managed to arrest eight ISIS members in the Qaraoun area in the Beqaa province of Lebanon.
Three members of the detainees were terrorists and had planned to attack the Lebanese army headquarters and several other targets in this country, Lebanon's Al-Akhbar newspaper reported, citing security sources.
According to the report, five others were among the elements who were recruited by ISIS to carry out terrorist attacks.
The source added that the members mostly had Lebanese citizenship and one was an immigrant who lived in Latin America.
On Wednesday, the Lebanese army announced arresting ISIS members and pointed out that they were carrying weapons and ammunition.
