Amal Movement and Hezbollah issued a statement Thursday on the Tayouneh ambush, which was "carried out by Lebanese Forces (LF) supporters," the parties said.

The two groups added that the LF groups were mobilized across several adjacent neighborhoods, directly shooting at civilians. "The Lebanese Forces party groups committed premeditated murder, leaving several martyred and injured," the statement read.

The parties urged the army and security forces to assume their responsibility and restore the situation as it was before, underscoring the importance of arresting the perpetrators of the killings and the instigators.

"The instigators managed this premeditated operation from black rooms, and they must be severely punished," the statement added.

Amal Movement and Hezbollah commended their supporters as "Our patient people and youths, the loyal and the honorable, who responded to this call to participate [in the peaceful demonstration]."

The two parties also pledged that they would pursue the martyrs' case until justice is served.

"We also pray for the speedy recovery of the wounded," the joint statement concluded.
