Libya: ISIS claims an attack on Haftar's forces
Yesterday, Haftar's forces headquarters was blown up south of Sebha, with an explosive device that led to the death of one member and the wounding of two others.
Today, on Tuesday, the terrorist organization ISIS claimed an attack on Haftar's forces in the south of the country.
The American website, SITE, which monitors the media of extremist groups, quoted a statement of what is known as the Libya-Fezzan Province, in which it confirmed the bombing of Haftar’s forces headquarters, south of Sebha, yesterday, with an explosive device, “which led to the death of one member and the injury of two others.”
Military sources had previously told Sputnik that a fire broke out inside the Granada Military Prison in Benghazi, which caused the escape of five ISIS prisoners.
Since the fall of the regime of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, Libya has suffered from violence and bombings in separate parts of the country.
Last June, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stressed during the Moscow International Security Conference that terrorist organizations of all kinds still pose a threat to the stability of the region and that after the defeat of ISIS and a large number of countries, in Syria and Iraq, the migration of trained militants to other countries increased and a large number moved to Libya.
