Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc: Current Crisis Concocted by KSA
Lebanon's Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc member, MP Hassan Ezzeddine, holds Saudi Arabia responsible for the country's recent diplomatic crisis.
Lebanese MP Hassan Ezzeddine read a statement by the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, following its weekly meeting, wherein he noted that the bloc stands by its stance vis-à-vis judicial investigator Tarek Bitar, especially since he has been proven to have exceeded his authority.
Ezzeddine also held Saudi Arabia responsible for concocting the latest crisis in Lebanon, noting in the statement that the bloc refuses and condemns foreign dictates on the government.
Kordahi's stance has not changed
Earlier today, close sources to the Lebanese Minister of Information, George Kordahi, told Al Mayadeen that Kordahi will not resign, and his stance has not changed.
Commenting on Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati's statement on Thursday, the sources said that Kordahi is awaiting a call from Mikati and an invitation to meet with him.
Mikati will inform the minister of the comments he received from Arab and foreign officials and discuss whether a possible resignation will be met with guarantees and a positive stance from the Gulf.
The sources considered that any resignation that does not change the Gulf's stance toward Lebanon remains in vain.
Earlier, Prime Minister Mikati said that Kordahi's statement led Lebanon to be boycotted by Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states.
The Prime Minister called on the Minister of Information to appeal to his own conscience, take the right stance, and give priority to national interest.
