Maduro vows to prevent coup attempts
During the Grand National March in Defense of Peace, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro reveals that 80% of the criminals recently arrested in Venezuela were trained abroad in Texas, Colombia, and Peru.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro disclosed during the Grand National March in Defense of Peace that 80% of the criminals arrested in the country had been trained in Texas, Colombia, and Peru to execute a coup.
He further said that these countries have refused to recognize Maduro’s election victory, and noted that the arrested individuals did not take part in the voting process.
The Venezuelan President stressed that the "fascist right attempted to attack and overthrow the National Electoral Council's electronic voting system," describing the extreme right as embodying "hatred and arrogance," framing it as a form of "foreign meddling and war."
Maduro also said that 2,000 individuals have so far been detained, tersely stating that "there will be justice" this time. He added that these detainees do not participate in elections, call for protests, then "fill society with hatred and attack state institutions."
The president emphasized that Venezuela remains peaceful, reiterating that no one can "impose a climate of violence or lead us to coup scenarios."

Global Zionism behind Venezuela coup attempt: Maduro to Al Mayadeen
The far-right in Venezuela is supported and funded by global Zionism, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro told Al Mayadeen on Saturday, adding that the Zionist influence in the media and social media is behind the attempted coup in Venezuela.
Maduro said his victory in the country's presidential election on July 28 is the greatest proof of what a people can do for their independence, dignity, and future.
He stressed that Venezuela will always stand with Palestine and condemned what he described as "the worst genocide since Hitler," which is being committed against the people of Gaza and Palestine.
The Venezuelan President affirmed Caracas' support for "Arab and Muslim causes that will triumph sooner or later," adding that hope, strength, and the right to life will emerge from suffering.
In a separate context, Maduro confirmed that Venezuela had been invited to the BRICS summit and that he received congratulations after winning the presidential election.
"The world no longer depends on the decisions of Washington, the extreme capitalist right, or the new fascism," he concluded.
Venezuela was thrown into a political crisis in January 2019 when Juan Guaido, the former head of the opposition-controlled National Assembly, backed by the US, declared himself interim president in an attempt to depose Maduro.
At a press conference held with local and international media on Saturday, Maduro called for "maximum understanding and support from all Venezuelans until all manipulations related to the cyber coup against the people and democracy are clarified."
He accused the United States, the international fascist right with Elon Musk, and the global extreme capitalist forces of leading a coup, with Washington being at the forefront of the attempted coup that aims to install a "Guaido 2.0".
