Malaysia PM urges West to stop 'hypocrisy', end atrocities in Gaza
Anwar bin Ibrahim says "the problems are not the 7th of October,” noting that Israeli occupation forces were ordered to attack Gaza with a force “like never before.”
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar bin Ibrahim said he relayed to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz that the West needs to end “hypocrisy” and thus end "Israel’s" atrocities in Gaza.
Bin Ibrahim, speaking to the Turkish Anadolu news agency, said that he "made it very clear" to Scholz that Western leaders must "stop the hypocrisy" and take steps to stop "Israel’s" “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians in Gaza.
"Because the problems are not the 7th of October,” he said, noting that Israeli occupation forces were ordered to attack Gaza with a force “like never before.”

“The problem is the whole treatment, and colonialism, and apartheid, and ethnic cleansing in Gaza, that must stop now,” bin Ibrahim said he told Scholz.
“And the international community has to take up measures now to solve the problem. They cannot fail in their moral duty."

The Malaysian PM did not spare the West from a condemnation regarding their silence about "Israel’s" crimes in Gaza, saying they were “selective” and “inconsistent” about the application of international law.
Ten days ago, hundreds of Malaysians in support of the Palestinian cause gathered to express solidarity with the people of Gaza.
Demonstrators displayed Palestinian flags and held signs advocating for a ceasefire in Gaza. Notably, some posters depicted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a Nazi leader, featuring Swastika symbols.
Within the assembly, Nurul Izzah Anwar, the daughter of the Malaysian PM, called upon individuals to participate in the rally against the ongoing Israeli acts of genocide.
Back in December, Malaysia imposed a docking ban on all ships from an Israeli shipping cargo company, those en route to any Israeli dock, and those hoisting the occupation flag.
