March 30 Movement takes action against IOF soldiers amid Gaza genocide
This comes in the wake of the ongoing humanitarian crisis and the apparent failure of international organizations to address the unfolding genocide in Gaza.
Lebanese-Belgian activist Dyab Abou Jahjah is spearheading legal efforts to bring Dutch- and Belgian-Israeli soldiers, currently invading Gaza, to court for their involvement in war crimes amid Israeli ongoing genocide against Gazans.
On December 25, Abou Jahjah, through the newly established March 30 Movement (30-3), publicly announced the filing of a formal complaint against Israeli soldier Jonathan Ben Hamou.

In a post on X, Abou Jahjah announced that the legal team representing the March 30 Movement has intensified its efforts to combat impunity for Israeli soldiers implicated in the Gaza genocide and other crimes in Palestine.
This comes in the wake of the ongoing humanitarian crisis and the apparent failure of international organizations to address the unfolding genocide in Gaza.

The IOF are committing crimes against humanity every single day in #Gaza, as they have been for 80 days, and as they have been for 16 years.

The inaction prompted the March 30 Movement (30-3) to take matters into its own hands, launching individual campaigns to pursue legal actions against dual Dutch- and Belgian-Israeli soldiers implicated in war crimes during "Israel's" devastating war on Gaza. The initiative reflects a growing sentiment for accountability and justice amid the challenges faced by conventional international efforts.
Building on the initial complaint against Jonathan Ben Hamou, the legal actions have expanded to include four additional IOF soldiers of Dutch nationality – Ronny Katz, Raouf Leeraar, Jisjai Bloemendaal, and Abel Yanai Bolink. These soldiers face accusations of participating in acts of genocide and other serious crimes against the Palestinian people, as per the initial complaint.

The legal pursuits have broadened to encompass illegal settler activities in the West Bank and occupied al-Quds, as per Abou Jahjah.
A complaint has been filed against Israeli settler Akiva van Koningsveld, another Dutch national. Supported by a comprehensive report from Amnesty International, the complaint implicated van Koningsveld in various criminal activities, including land and property theft, embezzlement, threats, and violations of the Dutch Weapons and Ammunition Act.
The March 30 Movement is actively working on additional complaints in the Netherlands and Belgium while exploring new legal avenues.
Abou Jahjah assured in his post that the movement remains dedicated to ensuring accountability for those involved in crimes against the Palestinian people by the laws of their respective countries.
