Shocking testimonies expose Israeli killings, field executions in Gaza
The organization urges the ICRC to fulfill its obligations and respond to the Palestinian requests it is currently ignoring, including evacuating victims.
According to horrifying testimonies gathered by the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor (EMM), Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out field executions against civilians in Palestinian homes in Gaza.
Earlier reports from Al Mayadeen sources corroborate that Israeli forces executed more than 15 Palestinians at the Annan family residence near Burj al-Jalaa in the northern part of Gaza City.
Israeli occupation forces left behind several martyrs and wounded several others, all in front of children and women in the residence.
In this context, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory received shocking testimonies about field executions committed by the Israeli occupation forces against civilians during house raids in the border areas of Gaza.
The organization indicated that the victims included members of the displaced families of Annan, al-Ashi, al-Shurafa, who were shot to death. There are also reports of other individuals who remain in critical condition and an elderly man who has been taken away by soldiers with an unknown fate.
It also noted that among the 27 women and children trapped in the house, some are suffering from serious injuries, including amputated limbs. They have issued pleas to the International Committee of the Red Cross for coordination to evacuate them from the location to save their lives.
According to EMM, Israeli forces stationed in military vehicles or high-rise structures are conducting sniping operations against Palestinian residents who are either inside their houses or attempting to move within a residential area in search of protection. The rights group cited the recent shooting of Sami Jabr Kahil in Gaza City by an Israeli sniper on Monday.
Days ago, the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem Communication Office announced the murder of two Palestinian Christian women by an Israeli sniper, who shot the women "in cold blood" inside the premise of the Holy Family Parish, in Gaza, "where there are no belligerents."
ICRC must respond to Palestinian requests
According to Euro-Med Monitor, these assassinations and field executions are among the heinous crimes committed by Israeli troops in numerous incursion zones in the Gaza Strip, which also include looting, intimidation, arbitrary arrest, torture, rape threats, and massive devastation.
The organization urged the ICRC to fulfill its obligations and respond to the requests it is currently ignoring, including evacuating victims.
The Red Cross does not usually respond to reports from Palestinian people, according to Euro-Med Monitor, citing numerous concerns. The Red Cross has only arranged the evacuation of martyrs and injuries after many hours of delay, particularly in the case of journalist Samer Abu Daqqa, whose body was discovered with the death of three civil defense personnel after they were targeted for five hours in Khan Younis.
ICRC personnel have also been accused of failing to react to cries for assistance from displaced individuals, particularly women, in unsafe regions or late at night, according to EMM, which has called for an immediate inquiry.
EMM has also urged the ICRC to ignore Israeli orders and fulfill its humanitarian mission, including speaking out in support of victims, as well as pressuring the international community to force "Israel" to comply.
The organization also urged the international community to pressure "Israel" to allow ambulance and civil defense teams responding to reports of injuries in Gaza to travel freely, emphasizing that as the occupier, "Israel" is obligated to provide medical assistance and relief supplies to those living within its control area.
According to EMM, "Israel" is bound by international humanitarian law to take all reasonable precautions to protect civilians and those who remain in evacuation zones do not lose their protection and cannot be singled out for any reason.
