Deputy Foreign Minister in the Sanaa government, Hussein al-Ezzi, stated earlier that the liberation of Marib governorate will enhance the chances of restoring peace, stressing that the liberation of the Marib Governorate will increase the likelihood of long-term strategic peace in Yemen and neighboring countries, given that Marib will no longer be a ground for al-Qaeda threats in the future.
Confrontations near al-Hima Port in the al-Khoukha district
On the other hand, confrontations continue between the Yemeni armed forces and Saudi-led coalition forces, near the port of al-Hima in the coastal district of al-Khoukha, located in the rural southern outskirts of al-Hudaydah Governorate, west of Yemen, which led to deaths and injuries.
Separate parts of the districts of Hays and al-Khoukha, south of al-Hudaydah Governorate, are still under the control of the Saudi-led coalition forces on the western coast.
The joint forces of Saudi Arabia and the UAE on the western coast of Yemen announced, on Friday, the evacuation of the areas under the Sweden Agreement, which stipulates that these areas should be demilitarized and a safe refuge for civilians, given that the said agreement was signed under the pretext of their protection and security.
In this context, a Yemeni military source reported that the Saudi-led coalition forces committed 454 new violations on al-Hudaydah fronts during the past 24 hours and bombed the areas under the control of the army and the popular committees in the governorate using 1,328 missiles and artillery shells.
