Yemen: Saudi Coalition Withdrawal Not Coordinated with Hadi's Government
Multiple forces of the Saudi coalition withdrew from large areas in the southern countryside of al-Hudaydah without notifying or coordinating with Hadi’s forces.
Abed Rabbu Mansour Hadi's government announced early Saturday that multiple forces of the Saudi coalition withdrew from dozens of sites in the southern countryside of al-Hudaydah without notifying or coordinating with Hadi’s forces.
On its account, the UN mission to support the al-Hudaydah agreement tweeted that it was not informed in advance of the movements, adding that it is monitoring the situation closely and liaising with the parties to reach the truth.
Al-Qaeda recruited to battle Yemeni Army and Committees
Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has released a virtual meeting with its emir, Khalid Batarfi, despite a UN report which said he had been under arrest.
In the video, Batarfi said that al-Qaeda fighters were recruited to join the battle against the Houthis on 11 fronts, adding that "our role in fighting the Houthis is obvious and no one can deny it."

The joint forces of Saudi Arabia and the UAE announced on the western coast of Yemen “the evacuation of the areas governed by the Sweden agreement,” which dictates a truce in the region under a UN-sponsored pact.
“The joint forces recognized the mistake of remaining besieged behind defensive barricades, on which war is forbidden under an international pact, while various front lines require support,” the statement added.
The joint forces admitted that Ansar Allah fighters had taken control of three districts in Shabwa governorate, adjacent to Marib from the eastern side.
Coalition forces withdrawal
On Friday, Yemeni field sources confirmed to Al Mayadeen that there are continuous withdrawals of the Saudi coalition forces from the southern and eastern regions of the al-Hudaydah Governorate.
The sources added that the withdrawals included large areas in the districts of Beit al-Faqih and al-Tuhayta in the southern countryside of al-Hudaydah.
The sources estimated the area from which the coalition forces withdrew at tens of kilometers towards the al-Khokha district in the rural southern outskirts of al-Hudaydah and towards the Mocha district in Taiz.
It is noteworthy that field sources have also reported to Al Mayadeen that the Saudi coalition forces have completely withdrawn from dozens of sites south and east of the city of al-Hudaydah, western Yemen.
The Yemeni armed forces were able to liberate the center of the al-Juba district in the Ma'rib governorate, a few days ago, as the district's sheiks, notables, and dignitaries announced their support for the army and the people's committees, until the liberation of all areas of the Marib governorate.
