Yemeni Army and Committees Seize Control of Dozens of Sites in Al-Hudaydah
The Yemeni armed forces begin to secure many areas after the withdrawal of the multiple forces of the Saudi coalition.
Al Mayadeen sources confirmed that Yemeni armed forces began securing the al-Hudaydah Airport Roundabout, the complex of dairy and food factories, and dozens of sites after the withdrawal of multiple Saudi coalition forces from large areas in the following: The city of al-Saleh, Kilo 16, and the Ikhwan Thabet Commercial and Industrial complex east of the city of al-Hudaydah, the al-Manzar area in the vicinity of al-Hudaydah Airport, al-Nukhayla, al-Shujaira, Qudbah, al-Juraibah, al-Taif and other areas in the ad-Durayhimi district, south of the coastal governorate on the Red Sea, west of Yemen.
The same sources told Al Mayadeen that the withdrawal of the multiple forces of the Saudi coalition from the Kilo 16 area will reopen the international road linking the capital Sanaa and the city of al-Hudaydah.
Field and local sources suggested to Al Mayadeen that the withdrawal of the Salafist Giants Brigades and Tariq Saleh forces of the Saudi coalition possibly aims at strengthening the capacities of the Hadi forces and the collapsed Islah party on the fronts of the city of Marib, northeastern Yemen, by sending them the to Shabwa governorate, adjacent to Marib from the eastern side.
Until now, the forces of the Saudi coalition have not explained the reason behind their sudden withdrawal from the front lines of the southern and eastern fronts of the city of al-Hudaydah, after positioning on those fronts for about 3 years.
In the Marib governorate, hit-and-run battles continue between the forces of the Sanaa government on one hand, and the forces of President Hadi and the Islah party backed by the planes of the Saudi coalition on the other, in the areas separating the districts of Juba and Wadi Ubaidah, south of the city of Marib.
The Saudi coalition warplanes also launched 12 raids targeting the mountain range located between the districts of al-Juba and Wadi Ubaidah. The confrontations are also taking place in the areas of Wadi Dhanna and al-Rawdah, which lead to the middle Jabal al-Balaq overlooking the Falaj security point.
It is noteworthy that, the Falaj point represents an access point and crossing for the vital roads of the Safer and al-Abar Hadhramout as well as al-Juba and al-Bayda lines, which connect the city of Marib with the governorates of Hadhramaut, Shabwa and al-Bayda.
