Syrian President Bashar al-Assad offered his sincerest and most profound condolences to the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon and the family of Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, upon his assassination by "Israel" in Beirut, Lebanon.

"My message is not to console you for the martyrdom of the leader of the Resistance, for you have shown over the past decades resilience, strength, determination, and unity that has made you stronger and more steadfast than any calamity, no matter how great," al-Assad said, affirming that the Resistance and those who rally behind it persevere and persist on the righteous path regardless of the cost.

The Syrian President affirmed that the Resistance will not turn frail with the martyrdom of Sayyed Nasrallah, but will only deepen its roots, adding that "Great leaders build, during their lives, the doctrine of struggle, its path, and its course, and they leave behind a legacy of thought and a practical approach to resistance and honor."

Speaking of Martyr Sayyed Nasrallah, al-Assad said that "Resistance is an idea and a doctrine, and the martyr Nasrallah is its memory and history", asserting that he will remain "a path that produces a reality centered on resistance, characterized by dignity, guided by honor, and aimed at liberation."

He lastly expressed full confidence in the Lebanese Resistance as it continues its path and struggle, and bid farewell to its martyred leader, stressing the unity Syria and the Islamic Resistance experienced in the joint struggle and war against "Israel".
