Marwan Barghouti transferred to solitary confinement in 'Ramla'
As demands for the release of Palestinian Resistance Commander Marwan Barghouti intensify after his 22 years of imprisonment, "Israel" has once again transferred him to solitary confinement, this time in the "al-Ramla" prison.
The head of the Commission for Detainees and ex-Detainees Affairs, Qadura Fares, reported that the Israeli occupation's Prison Service transferred detained Palestinian Resistance Commander, Marwan Barghouti, from solitary confinement in "Rimonim" prison to solitary confinement in "al-Ramla" prison.
In a press release on Sunday, Fares stated that the decision to transfer al-Barghouti to solitary confinement follows recent remarks by Israeli Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, which he perceives as a "fresh effort to present before the Israeli public."
He explained that the widespread transfer procedures, including both collective and solitary isolations implemented by the occupying authorities, are part of an escalating Israeli policy aimed at the "targeting of all prisoners post-October 7, and the leaders of the national Captive Movement, along with systematic torture methods."
Furthermore, Fares highlighted that the recurrent transfers of Barghouti to solitary confinement, coupled with the ongoing denial of access to lawyers, raise concerns about his well-being, particularly as it aligns with direct and continuous incitement against him in the Israeli media.
Fares asserted that subjecting Barghouti to solitary isolation, harassment, and attacks would not diminish his resolute determination and steadfast commitment to freedom and self-determination.

The Israeli prison administration transferred Barghouti from the "Ofer" Prison to an unknown location last December. The occupation had previously claimed that he was placed in solitary confinement in the "Ayalon" prison, only to later reveal that he was transferred to the Israeli "Ramon" Prison, where he had been held under solitary confinement.
In concurrence with increased punitive measures in the West Bank and occupied '48 territories, the Israeli occupation has also escalated its employment of brutal and torturous methods against Palestinian detainees, including Palestinian leaders.
It is worth noting that Barghouti, nicknamed the "Palestinian Mandela" played a significant role in both the first and second Intifadas and was sentenced by an Israeli court in 2004. His incarceration by "Israel" has been one of the most notable, and his release has been a primary objective for various groups opposing the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
