Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported of a demonstration in Yemen's capital Sana'a to celebrate the 7th anniversary of the 21st September revolution.

Our reporter added that another demonstration will be held today in protest of Saudi-led aggression and blockade on Yemen.

Sana’a protest Organizers affirmed in a statement that “celebrations of the 21st September revolution, which rescued the Yemeni people from the clutches of foreign meddling, will be held in various governorates."

"September 21 revolution, which served as a motivator for the Yemeni people to oppose the aggression, is an authentic Yemeni movement funded by the Yemeni people and not by any foreign country," the statement stressed.

The most glorious event in modern Yemeni history

Furthermore, the statement urged the Yemeni army and popular committees to "destroy the aggressors’ strongholds with ballistic missiles and drones."

In the same context, Saada Governor Mohammed Jaber Awad divulged to Al Mayadeen that "the people of Saada are commemorating the memory of liberation from colonialism," emphasizing the "failure of all plans of aggression."

In his speech on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the September 21 revolution, the leader of Yemen's “Ansar Allah” Movement Sayyed Abdel Malek al-Houthi confirmed the perseverance on the path of confronting aggression in a revolutionary spirit until gaining full independence.

Aside from the brutal aggression, Saudi Arabia has imposed an all-out blockade on Yemen since the beginning of 2015, depriving millions of civilians of essentials. This has brought the country to the verge of famine and has wreaked havoc on the healthcare system.
