Mike Pence: US will surely go to war with Russia if Ukraine falls
Former Vice President and current presidential candidate Mike Pence says he firmly believes in Ronald Reagan's doctrine which entails granting military aid to whoever is willing to fight the enemies of the US on their soil.
In an interview with the Hugh Hewitt Show, former Vice President and current Presidential candidate Mike Pence said Russia's special military operation in Ukraine extends beyond being just warfare, rather, he described it as being "evil".
Pence said it was necessary to send military aid to Ukraine so that the US would not have to face Russia in war, and promised that if he was to be elected president, he would ensure Kiev would receive whatever military aid needed to counteract the Russian forces.
"I have no doubt that if Vladimir Putin overran Ukraine, it would not be too long, Hugh, before the Russian military crossed a border where we would have to send our fighting men and women to fight against them," Pence said.
Pence affirmed his belief in Ronald Reagan's doctrine that "if you’re willing to fight the enemies of the United States on your soil, we’ll give you the means to fight them there so our men and women in uniform don’t have to fight them."
