Military action against Iran will be declaration of war: UN mission
The US, so far, keeps rejecting the claim of having a hand in the drone attack in Isfahan, which is believed to be an "Israel"-instigated attack.
Following the drone attack on a military workshop in Isfahan, the Iranian Permanent Mission to the UN warned that any military action by the US against Iran will be considered a declaration of war to be followed by retaliation.
The mission told US News magazine: "In Iran's perspective, the use of the military option at any level means US entry into the war. For now, Iran considers such a possibility to be weak,"
According to the outlet citing the mission, in case the US "miscalculates and starts a war," then it could only blame itself for the consequences "for the region and the world," adding that Iran would be able to ensure its own defense and the security of its interests.
The US, so far, has rejected and denied having a hand in the drone attack in Isfahan, which is also believed to be an "Israel"-instigated attack.
"Israel" to pay the price
Media quoted a Pentagon spokesperson saying, "We've seen the press reports, but can confirm that no US military forces have conducted strikes or operations inside Iran. We continue to monitor the situation, but have nothing further to provide,"
This comes after the Iranian Defense Ministry announced in a statement on Sunday that a drone attack on a military facility in Isfahan was intercepted by the air defense units. It was intended to attack one of the ongoing military workshops by using Micro Aerial Vehicles (MAVs).
Two other MAVs exploded after being caught in traps set by the system, with the ministry pointing out that the unsuccessful attack failed due to the preparedness of the defense system stationed in the region.
No casualties were reported, and only minor damage was caused to the roof of the facility. Normal functions and operations continue as usual.
The Wall Street Journal reported, citing US officials, that "Israel" was behind the drone attack. Iranian senior political analyst Mohammad Marandi said on Sunday that "Israel" will pay the price for its failed attempt of conducting a drone operation in the central city of Isfahan earlier today.
In a post on Twitter published earlier today, Marandi said "Not a good week for the apartheid regime either at home or abroad. However, even though Netanyahu and his western-backed terrorist allies in northern Iraq have failed, there will be consequences. They both need to learn that punishment comes with failure too."
