Military Operations Command takes control of Deir Ezzor, SDF withdraws
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that violent clashes took place between the so-called "National Army" and SDF militants at the Qara Qozak Bridge in Manbij.
The Syrian Military Operations Command took control of Deir Ezzor Governorate, eastern Syria, on Tuesday, after the withdrawal of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militants.
This comes after a number of the Deir Ezzor Military Council defected from the SDF and joined the Joint Forces in Damascus, including Ibrahim Al-Asi.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that violent clashes took place between the so-called National Army and SDF militants at the Qara Qozak Bridge in Manbij.
It is noteworthy that the US CENTCOM on Tuesday said in a post on X that Commander General Michael "Erik" Kurilla visited Syria and Iraq to assess its purported operations against ISIS and bolster regional security cooperation.
New regime forces in Syria carry out summary executions in Latakia
A video circulating on social media shows armed Syrian fighters carrying out field executions of individuals they referred to as "Shabbiha", a derogatory term used to describe loyalists, in the village of al-Rabia, located in the countryside of Latakia.
The new regime forces' military operations administration reported ongoing clashes in al-Rabia, including the encirclement of a group of officers inside a fortified farm in the village.
Ahmed al-Sharaa (Abu Mohammad al-Jolani), the commander of the new regime forces' military operations room, stated today that his forces "will not hesitate to hold criminals, killers, and security and military officers involved in the torture of the Syrian people accountable."
"We will announce a first list of the names of senior figures implicated in torturing the Syrian people. Rewards will be offered for information about senior military and security officers involved in war crimes," he added.
New measures to 'maintain security'
The Military Operations Administration in Syria announced Monday that its forces are close to completing the control of the capital Damascus and preserving public property.
The administration confirmed in a statement that "the new government will begin its work immediately after its formation."
Meanwhile, media sources reported the selection of Mohammad al-Bashir, the head of the Idlib Salvation Government affiliated with the new regime, to lead a new Syrian government and oversee the transitional phase.
The operations administration urged the public to "disregard false reports claiming the existence of underground or hidden prisons," emphasizing that "all prisons in Syria have been fully opened."
It also announced the arrest of some people who were inciting sectarianism among the crowds and threatening citizens and minorities, vowing to deal firmly with "any attempts to sow discord or issue threats, as the homeland belongs to everyone, and we will preserve its unity and the security of its citizens."
