More than 18,000 evacuated from Ukraine, Donbass to Russia in a day
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russia has supplied over 25,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
In the past day, over 8,800 people have been evacuated to Russia from the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) and Ukraine, according to the head of the Russian National Defense Control Center, Col. Gen. Mikhail Mizintsev, head of Russia's humanitarian response coordination headquarters.
During a briefing, Mizintsev stated that "despite all the difficulties created by the Kiev regime, over the past day, without the participation of the Ukrainian authorities, 18,886 people, including 2,663 children, were evacuated to the territory of the Russian Federation from dangerous areas of the Donbass republics and Ukraine."

Since the start of the operation in Ukraine, Russia has evacuated over 1.5 million people, including more than 250,000 children.
According to Mizintsev, Russia has also delivered over 25,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
"Starting from March 2, 2022, the Russian Federation has already delivered 25,044 tonnes of essentials, food, medicines, and medical supplies to Ukraine," he said during a briefing.
