More than 50 nations have signed a statement urging the United Nations to impose a weapons embargo on "Israel," as genocide continues in Gaza.

Turkiye's Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Sunday that it has sent the United Nations a letter signed by 52 nations and two organizations calling for a halt in military transfers to "Israel".

The Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan confirmed the action and accused nations who send weapons to "Israel" of genocide.

Fidan stated at a news conference in Djibouti, where he was attending the Turkey-Africa collaboration meeting, that a joint letter was sent to the UN on November 1, calling on all nations to stop arming "Israel", citing that it must be "repeated at every opportunity that selling arms to Israel means participating in its genocide."

Ahmet Yildiz, Turkiye's permanent ambassador to the UN, stated that "Israel's" actions had pushed the region to the brink of war.

Last month, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged the UN to impose an arms embargo on "Israel", saying it would be an "effective solution" to end the war on Gaza.

Erdogan stated that establishing a comprehensive arms embargo against "Israel" is necessary to boost pressure to end the war in Gaza, asserting that the occupation is trying to spread the "flames of conflict" it has sparked across the area.

He further warned that the occupation would inevitably "pay the price for this ongoing genocide in Gaza, sooner or later," noting that those dying in Gaza, parts of Palestine, and Lebanon are not just women, children, and innocent civilians but also represent the death of "humanity and the international order."

IOF using internationally banned weapons in genocide: Media Office

As part of its ongoing crimes against humanity, the Israeli occupation bombed and destroyed 254 housing units in the Gaza Strip in 48 hours, the Government Media Office in Gaza reported on November 2.

According to the Office, Israeli occupation forces employed internationally prohibited weapons in their attacks, dropping and firing them indiscriminately from warplanes and tanks. They also planted explosive barrels between civilian homes and detonated them remotely, disregarding any legal or humanitarian considerations.

They also deployed missiles with immense destructive power against civilian homes, "most of which were covered with asbestos and zinc sheets," leaving them in ruins beyond comprehension, according to the Media Office.

The brutal bombing over 48 hours has resulted in multiple massacres around the new camp and its vicinity in al-Nuseirat, central Gaza Strip, with reports of over 40 martyrs and numerous injuries, including among children and women. Furthermore, "Israel" continues to prevent ambulance crews from rescuing the martyrs and wounded.

The Government Media Office condemned the occupation forces for committing these crimes against humanity, describing the deliberate targeting of civilians, including children and women, as acts of genocide. They called for international condemnation of these "horrific massacres against residential neighborhoods and civilians."

It held the occupation entity, as well as the US administration, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and other nations complicit in the genocide, holding them accountable for perpetuating the war and committing acts of genocide.

It called on the international community and all UN and international organizations to exert pressure on "Israel" by all means necessary to halt the crimes against humanity being committed against the Palestinian people.
