More than 8,000 martyrs amid ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza
The Ministry of Health in Gaza updated the death toll of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, confirming that the number of martyrs now exceeds 8,000 people.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Saturday night that more than 8,000 people have been martyred in the Strip since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza. The ministry told Agence France-Presse that the death toll has exceeded 8,000, half of whom are children.
According to the Ministry, the latest toll of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip amounted to 7,703 martyrs.
Meanwhile, Al Mayadeen 's correspondent in Gaza reported that there were intense Israeli raids on the northern and northwestern regions of Gaza.
Our correspondent pointed out that the Israeli Navy is violently bombarding the eastern areas of the Gaza Strip, stressing that the humanitarian situation in hospitals is very dangerous as the Israeli targeting of the health sector continues.
He reported hearing continuous violent gunfire in the far north of the Strip, towards Beit Hanoun.

Moreover, The president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Mirjana Spoljaric, on Saturday called on all sides to act to halt the "intolerable" human suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip.
"This is a catastrophic failing that the world must not tolerate," Spoljaric expressed, adding: "I am shocked by the intolerable level of human suffering and urge the parties to the conflict to de-escalate now."
She stressed that "the tragic loss of so many civilian lives is deplorable," underlining that "it is unacceptable that civilians have no safe place to go in Gaza amid the massive bombardments, and with a military siege in place there is also no adequate humanitarian response currently possible."
Spoljaric was speaking hours after UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres sharply criticized the "unprecedented escalation" of Israeli bombardments on Gaza, and called for an "immediate" ceasefire.
Hospitals under severe pressure
Hospitals in Gaza are under severe pressure due to a shortage of fuel, risking the shutdown of essential services and endangering the lives of the wounded and sick, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
Regrettably, this crisis will inevitably lead to health consequences, including the cessation of life-saving procedures such as cardiac catheterization, interventional surgeries, and cesarean sections. Furthermore, laboratory and blood bank services in 58 facilities are at risk of disruption.
Gaza's Health Ministry has declared that hospitals in the Gaza Strip are operating at full capacity, with patients even "lying on the floor" due to the high number of injuries resulting from the severe occupation aggression. They have further warned that health services in Gaza have reached a critical stage.
