BREAKING
Sheikh Qassem: Our supporters make up more than half of Lebanon's population, and all of these people are united under the banner of protecting Lebanon, its Resistance, its people, and its integrity.
Sheikh Qassem: There will be no phased handing in of our arms. [The Israelis] must first enact the agreement before we start talking about a defensive strategy.
Sheikh Qassem: Be brave in the face of foreign pressures, and we will be by your side in this stance.
Sheikh Qassem: Stripping us of our arms is like stripping us of our very soul, and this will prompt us to show them our might.
Sheikh Qassem: We will not abandon our arms, for they gave us dignity; we will not abandon our arms, for they protect us against our enemy.
Sheikh Qassem: The US efforts we are seeing are aimed at sabotaging Lebanon and constitute a call for sedition.
Sheikh Qassem: If you truly want to establish sovereignty and work for Lebanon’s interests, then stop the aggression.
Sheikh Qassem: The United States, which is meddling in Lebanon, is not trustworthy but rather poses a danger to it.
Sheikh Qassem: The United States is preventing the weapons that protect the homeland.
Sheikh Qassem: The government’s latest decision [on the disarmament of the Resistance] is non-charter-based, and if the government continues down this path, it is not faithful to Lebanon’s sovereignty.

US State Department Principal Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel said today that US officials will not make any calls to congratulate Russian President Vladimir Putin on his win.

“I think it is safe to say that there certainly won’t be any congratulatory calls coming from the United States of America,” Patel announced during a press briefing.

European Union countries, in a joint statement, said that Russians had been prevented from a "real choice" claiming that all candidates opposed to the war in Ukraine were outcasted from the elections.

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borell also claimed that the vote was "based on repression and intimidation."

Germany, France, Italy, Czech, and Norway all reiterated this narrative in an attempt to doubt the integrity of Russian elections.

Putin decries lack of democracy in the West after election victory

President Vladimir Putin emerged victorious in Russia's presidential election in a landslide victory that saw him securing the overwhelming majority of the vote following the three-day-long election.

Addressing supporters at his election headquarters late March 17, Putin expressed gratitude to the Russian people for their participation, emphasizing that the election outcome would foster unity and strength within Russian society.

In his address, Putin underscored the significance of this electoral triumph in solidifying Russia's societal fabric and bolstering its resilience.

Moreover, Putin outlined his administration's key priorities moving forward, notably emphasizing the imperative of addressing the Ukraine war. He stressed the necessity of fortifying the Russian armed forces, asserting that enhancing military strength was still a top priority for Moscow.
