Although voters remain divided on the situation in the Middle East, 38% of registered voters agree that US support for "Israel" must be opposed with 22% saying they are neither against nor in favor.

Most Democratic US voters, 57%, held the Israeli occupation responsible for the war in the Middle East, while 46% of the same category opposed the United States' continued provision of weapons to "Israel's" military and 47% opposed sending US government funds to aid "Israel's" military.

Meanwhile, most of the registered voters, 54%, oppose the deployment of US troops to aid "Israel's" military, with 51% among Republican voters, 51% among independent voters, and 58% among Democratic voters, a recent poll conducted by AP-NORC revealed.

This is driven by the fear among registered voters that the current situation in the Middle East will escalate into an even broader war, and about 4 in 10 are worried the United States will be drawn into it.

The poll revealed a major divide among American voters ahead of the November 5 elections, particularly regarding the escalation of hostilities in the Middle East.

Most of the sampled Democratic voters blamed "Israel" for the war and its expansion in the region.

Between October 11 to 14, AP-NORC found that around 60% of voters largely blamed Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iran for the escalation of the war. However, 57% of Democratic voters simultaneously pinned the blame on the Israeli occupation.

Regarding US foreign policy, 55% of voters strongly support the imposition of sanctions on Iran, while another stark split appears when it comes to the US sending troops to serve in the Israeli occupation forces, weapons, and military aid, as more than half of the voters [Republican, Democratic, and independent] strongly or somewhat opposed.

In this context, the poll showed that only two out of each ten voters support sending US troops to "Israel", while over 50% oppose it.

Trump, Harris may disagree on local issues, but they agree on genocide

The genocide in Gaza has proven to be a decisive matter for voters partaking in the US 2024 elections, particularly as Kamala Harris continues to support "Israel" and its crimes, financially, militarily, and politically.

Despite what voters and citizens have repeatedly called for throughout the year leading up to the elections, it does seem like all demands have gone unanswered, with both candidates showcasing unwavering support for the occupation.

While Harris and Trump seemed to have been on opposite ends of the spectrum concerning said issues, it was made clear that whether the White House is painted Red or Blue, the US stance on the Israeli occupation will remain unwavering.

A report by The Intercept underlined that while bickering about domestic policies, saying they would implement policies opposite of each other on certain issues, both candidates were united in their stance that the Israeli genocide in Gaza and aggressions on Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran should continue, taking it upon themselves to boast, similarly, about how each would dish out more aid to the Israeli occupation.

Harris dedicated quite a bit of her last debate versus Trump, stressing how she was committed to "Israel's" "self-defense". This is not new at all. She has been making it clear since the start of her campaign, and even during her tenure as vice president, that the occupation's security is of paramount importance for the United States.

The Intercept also pointed out that the Biden administration has attempted to expand on the Trump-era normalization accords, which saw several Arab countries normalizing ties with the Israeli occupation and further sidelining the Palestinian cause.
