At dawn today, Monday, a 14-year-old Palestinian was wounded by a bullet in the head and another was arrested, as Israeli occupation forces (IOF) raided the Dheisheh refugee camp, south of Beit Lahm, resulting in confrontations.

In addition, two Palestinian youths were injured and three others were arrested, as Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, resulting in confrontations with Resistance fighters who opened fire on them.

The IOF also chased a Palestinian vehicle in the town and opened fire. Moreover, Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by a military bulldozer, stormed the area adjacent to the military checkpoint established on the lands of Hizma town in occupied Al-Quds to carry out illegal demolitions.

It is worth noting that the IOF storm different Palestinian cities and towns on an almost daily basis.

In this context, Israeli occupation forces arrested a number of Palestinians in separate areas of the occupied West Bank.

According to sources, large deployments of the occupation army stormed the Dheisheh camp and launched a campaign of raids on Palestinian homes, resulting in confrontations, during which the Israeli soldiers fired bullets and gas and sound bombs, which led to a child's injury in the head. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

During their raid on the camp, the occupation forces arrested Mahmoud Salah Hammash, 24, after raiding and searching his family's house, according to the sources.

The IOF also arrested, during their raid on Qabatiya, the two brothers, Mohammad and Arshad Adam Zakarneh, as well as Adham Abu Al-Rob.

Moreover, Israeli media reported that the Israeli army forces arrested the two Palestinian youths, Hamza Qatnani and Abdel-Rahim Bishkar, after raiding their homes east of Nablus.

13 Palestinian martyrs since the beginning of 2023

On Sunday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that Ahmad Kahla was martyred through direct execution by the Israeli occupation forces, near Silwad, east of Ramallah.

Kahla, 45 years old, was executed point-blank after a verbal confrontation with the IOF at the Silwad checkpoint, bringing the total number of Palestinian martyrs for 2023 to 13, including three children.

According to Wafa news agency, there was a verbal confrontation between Kahla and Israeli soldiers at the checkpoint before they "forced him out of his vehicle " and shot him "point-blank".

In the same context, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported on Sunday the martyrdom of Izz Al-Din Bassem Hamamra, 24, and Amjad Adnan Khaliliya, 23, in confrontations with Israeli occupation forces following their aggression on the town of Jaba, south of Jenin.

Palestinian media added that the occupation forces opened fire on a vehicle at the Jaba' junction, killing Hamamra and Khaliliya who were inside it.

Moreover, 19-year-old Yazan Samer Al-Ja’bari from Al-Yamoun, west of Jenin, was martyred after succumbing to the wounds he had sustained a few days earlier.

This came only a few days after medical sources reported that Habib Kamil and Abdel-Hadi Nazzal were martyred at the hands of the IOF.

It is noteworthy that 224 Palestinians were martyred by the IOF in 2022, including 59 martyrs from Jenin Governorate. The Washington Post also reported that Israeli occupation forces murdered more Palestinians in the occupied West Bank than in any previous year since 2005, following the last major Palestinian Intifada (Uprising). The year 2022 was dubbed the bloodiest in the occupied West Bank.
