The advisor to Iran's leader for international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, reiterated Tehran's support for the Palestinian people and its Resistance. He commended the resolute stance of Palestinians in safeguarding their land in a phone conversation with Ziyad Al-Nakhaleh, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement.

Velayati highlighted that the successes of the Axis of Resistance were a direct outcome of the collaboration between the different Palestinian Resistance factions and Hezbollah in Lebanon, stressing that the positive outcomes resulting from this unity signify an ultimate decisive victory.

In response, Al-Nakhaleh expressed gratitude for Iran's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. He also touched on the recent developments in Palestine, notably in occupied Al-Quds and the occupied West Bank. Elsewhere in his remarks, the PIJ leader underscored the resolve of the Palestinian Resistance, emphasizing their courage and ability to counter aggression and boost their resistance efforts.

He further emphasized that the threats made by Israeli leaders can never scare or deter the Palestinian people and their Resistance fighters.

The Resistance will continue to exercise its inherent, legitimate right to confront any aggression, he added.

In the same context, the head of the political bureau of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh asserted that "Israel's" attempts to sustain itself are doomed to failure. He conveyed this sentiment during a phone call with Velayati. Haniyeh also stressed that recent achievements were the result of cooperation and support from allies, particularly Iran.

Haniyeh maintained that the Resistance will ultimately triumph over the Zionist entity and will continue its endeavors in the occupied West Bank. He reiterated that the Palestinian people will face blockades, closures, and illegal settlement expansion with steadfastness and resistance. He added that there can be no political or security resolution in the West Bank until the Zionist occupation is entirely expelled from the Palestinian territory.

In a different context, Velayati extended his congratulations to Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem in a phone call commemorating the anniversary of the Lebanese Resistance's victory over Israeli aggression during the 2006 July War, which lasted for 33 days.
