In the lawsuit filed at The Hague last Friday, South Africa quoted Netanyahu as invoking religious scriptures in an effort to legitimize "Israel's" genocide on Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday accused South Africa of "cowardice" and falsehood in launching a genocide lawsuit against "Israel," claiming that the Israeli Occupation Forces [IOF] are the most "moral" army in the world.

On Friday, South Africa complained about the  Israeli regime at the International Court of Justice, invoking the Genocide Convention and urging the court to issue provisional measures against Israeli authorities.

"No, South Africa, it is not we who have come to perpetrate genocide, it is Hamas. It would murder all of us if it could. In contrast, the IDF [Israel Defense Force] is acting as morally as possible; it is doing everything to avoid harming civilians while Hamas is doing everything to harm them and is using them as human shields," Netanyahu said on X.

He also questioned South Africa's stance, asking where the country was when "millions" of lives were being lost "in Syria, Yemen, and other places."

"You were not there because everything you are doing now is only hot air, lies and vanity. We will continue our defensive war, the justice and morality of which is without peer," Netanyahu added.

It is worth recalling that both wars in Yemen and Syria were spearheaded by imperialist-led aggressions on these countries, of which "Israel" is an offshoot.

Hence the destruction of nations, exemplified by the Syrian and Yemeni cases, effectively signifies the ideological triumph of US-led imperialism, including Zionism.

It is also worth noting that South Africa quoted Netanyahu as invoking religious scriptures in an effort to legitimize "Israel's" genocide on Gaza.

"You must remember what Amalek has done to you, says our Holy Bible. And we do remember," Netanyahu said on October 28, referring to the arch-foe of Israelites in ancient times.

This not only serves as evidence that the Zionist ideology is profoundly dangerous but also demonstrates that Zionism is integral to the war industry.
