Netanyahu: I Refused Adopting US "Afghanistan Model" with Palestinians
Benjamin Netanyahu, former Israeli Prime Minister, has revealed the details of a US proposal to adopt the 'Afghanistan model' in occupied Palestine, which he claims he refused.
Benjamin Netanyahu, former Israeli Prime Minister, revealed a US proposal to the Israeli government in 2013 to adopt the Afghan model with the Palestinians.
In his statement, Netanyahu said that the US Secretary of State John Kerry invited him for a secret visit to Afghanistan to see how the US established a local military force that could fight terrorism on its own.
"The message was clear. The United States wants to apply the 'Afghanistan model' in the Palestinian issue as well," expressed Netanyahu.
"I politely declined the offer and rejected the idea, and then estimated that everything would collapse the moment the United States comes out of Afghanistan. This is what unfortunately happened: an extremist Islamic regime occupied Afghanistan, and it will turn it into a terrorist state that endangers world peace."
"We will get the same result if we hand over swaths of land to the Palestinians. The Palestinians will not establish Singapore. They would establish a terrorist state in the West Bank, meters away from Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv, Kfar Saba, and Netanya," Netanyahu explained.
"Israel's" former Prime Minister also addressed the nuclear agreement with Iran, blaming the international community, which rushed to a dangerous agreement that would have given Iran, with international permission, an arsenal of nuclear bombs "meant for our destruction".
