New form of confrontation to prevail, says Hezbollah top official
The head of Hezbollah's executive council underlined that the Israeli occupation will be facing a new form of confrontation following the pager explosions.
Hezbollah's Executive Council chief Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, delivered Wednesday a speech during a funeral procession commemorating the martyrs who ascended during Tuesday's Israeli attack that blew up thousands of pagers across Lebanon.
"Resistance will never weaken," Sayyed Safieddine asserted, highlighting that the Israeli occupation remains oblivious to the true essence of the Resistance and its culture of sacrifice. He vowed that those injured would return to the frontlines, determined to continue the struggle in the face of their enemies.
Addressing the Israeli aggressors, he said, "If your goal is to halt our fight, know that it will only grow stronger and more resolute." Safieddine reaffirmed that the resistance was capable of withstanding pressures and inflicting defeats upon its adversaries.
Addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Sayyed Safieddine said: The Resistance remains unscathed and prepared for a renewed confrontation. "We will enter a new phase of struggle until they understand that we do not waver," he warned.
"This aggression will certainly have its own specific punishment, and that reckoning is inevitable," Sayyed Safieddine concluded.
Twelve people were martyred and at least 2,800 others were injured on Tuesday after pagers simultaneously went off and then detonated across the country.
