one martyr due to Israeli attack on reporters, Hezbollah vows revenge
The Israeli occupation army trapped the journalists' team under continuous fire targeting and prevented medical teams and assistance patrols from reaching them for hours.
The Media Relations Office of Hezbollah condemned the Israeli occupation aggression on a team of journalists and citizens near the al-Abbad border site on Thursday, which led to the martyrdom of Lebanese citizen Mohammed al-Biqai.
The Lebanese Army confirmed that on October 19, 2023, Israeli occupation forces opened fire on a group of seven journalists and citizens who were covering events bear al-Abbad site near the village of Hula.
The group came under Israeli fire for hours while the occupation army prevented medical teams from reaching them. As a result, one was martyred after succumbing to his wounds and another was injured.
The Lebanese Army also confirmed that it dispatched a patrol unit in coordination with the UNIFIL to evacuate the civilians and the body of the martyr to a secure area.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah vowed that the attack will not go unanswered, highlighting "Israel's" continued criminal policy of targeting civilians and journalists near the Lebaese-Palestinian border and breaching the country's security.
Hezbollah considered that "this aggression is a continuation of ["Israel's"] previous crimes against journalists in Lebanon and Palestine with the aim of preventing them from conveying the truth and covering and documenting [the entity's] brutal crimes against civilians and the innocent."

It called on "all media institutions, syndicates, and professional and humanitarian associations to condemn these crimes," reiterating that "the killing of civilians and attacks on the security of our country will not go unanswered."
Last Friday, Reuters' videographer, Issam Abdallah, was killed by an Israeli strike in the town of Alma al-Shaab, southern Lebanon. Two other Reuters reporters, Thaer al-Sudani and Maher Nazeh, were injured.

Several other journalists suffered critical injuries as a result of the Israeli strike, which directly targeted them. Issam and others were wearing Press gear allowing easy identification, as they covered the unfolding events on the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
Hezbollah extended its condolences to the family of martyr Issam Abdallah and conveyed its condolences to Reuters agency in Lebanon, Al Jazeera, AFP Lebanon, and all dedicated journalists committed to the cause of free and unbiased reporting.
The Resistance also vowed to retaliate and delivered on its promise just two days later.
The Lebanese Resistance group carried out an operation last Sunday targeting an Israeli military outpost located in the settlement of "Shtula" near the Lebanese border. The site was hit by a number of anti-tank guided missiles ATGMs. Direct hits were confirmed in a video later released by Hezbollah.
