New Israeli observation point in Jabata al-Khashab in north Quneitra
In its efforts to establish a long-term buffer zone in the Quneitra countryside, the Israeli occupation is constructing a new observation point in the town of Jabata al-Khashab, located in the northern part of Quneitra.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported on Saturday that the Israeli occupation forces are working on constructing a new observation point for their forces near the agricultural tower in the town of Jabata al-Khashab, in the northern Quneitra countryside.
The Jerusalem Post previously reported that "Israel is aware of US President Donald Trump's desire to withdraw the remaining American forces from Syria." However, the newspaper emphasized that this decision would not impact US support for "Israel" in maintaining a buffer zone within Syrian territory.
A few days ago, Israeli newspaper Maariv revealed that the Israeli occupation army is "altering the reality in the areas where it is deployed in Syria, as it prepares for a long-term presence."
The newspaper confirmed that the Israeli army had repurposed former Syrian military sites into Israeli installations, incorporating advanced technological systems to ensure a prolonged presence in the buffer zone.
It quoted the Israeli army as stating that they "do not know how long the forces will need to remain in the buffer zone in Syria." However, based on developments on the ground, the army "has no intention of withdrawing shortly."
The newspaper highlighted some of the Israeli army's activities in the area, reporting that it conducted large-scale deforestation in the buffer zone, uprooting a eucalyptus forest.
Last Tuesday, a local Syrian source reported that Israeli occupation forces deployed additional reinforcements to newly occupied positions within the buffer zone in southern Syria and erected warning signs cautioning residents against approaching the area.
A local source also informed Al Mayadeen a few days ago that Israeli occupation forces had entered the village of Ain al-Nouriya, located in the northeastern countryside of Quneitra.
The source noted that the Israeli forces had destroyed the remnants of two mortar and anti-tank missile companies that had previously belonged to the Syrian army.
