Newsweek report debunks Israeli lies: 200,000 evacuated in North
A report by Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth in March reported on settlers in the north as being "depressed" as they posed the question; "What do we do to end the nightmare of Hezbollah rockets?"
In a news piece covering alleged US efforts to de-escalate tensions along the Lebanese borders, Newsweek reported on Thursday that the number of settlers evacuated since the start of the war has reached 200,000.
The significance of these estimates lies in their contradiction of previous figures reported by "Israel", which claimed that the number of evacuees was a mere 60,000.
Israeli news agencies have been extensively reporting on the situation of settlers in the northern occupied territories, whom they describe as "exhausted and paying a heavy price due to the fighting with Hezbollah."
A report by Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth in March reported on settlers in the north as being "depressed" as they posed the question; "What do we do to end the nightmare of Hezbollah rockets?"
The newspaper cited an Israeli settler living in one of the al-Jalil settlements near the border with Lebanon as saying that "settlers there live among Hezbollah rockets," describing the situation as "terrible".

Yedioth Ahronoth mentioned that more than 60,000 Israelis in al-Jalil settlements have been displaced and evacuated to other settlements since the start of the fighting in October.
It added that since October, the "northern community" has collapsed, many businesses have been shut down, and displaced settlers have scattered to other settlements.
One settler told the newspaper that someone from the Israeli leadership must address the settlers' problems, adding that Israeli the government has forgotten the settlers in the North "and has become accustomed to their living under war."
The settler added that "a sense of helplessness" accompanies all al-Jalil settlers, who never imagined that this situation would continue for more than five months.
Earlier today, Hezbollah carried out several operations targeting military objectives belonging to the Israeli occupation in northern occupied Palestine.
The Resistance confirmed launching a joint missile and drone attack, hitting six barracks and military sites including Zawara'ah depots, Kela'a barracks, Yoav barracks, Katsafya base, Nafah base, and an IOF battalion in Beit Hillel using Grad and Falaq missiles.
Simultaneously, the Resistance struck, using combat one-way drones, the Dado base (Northern Region Command HQ), Mishar base (Main Intelligence HQ responsible for assassinations), and Katsafya barracks (7th Armored Brigade under Golan Division 210). All hits were confirmed successful.
Following this, Hezbollah announced a second aerial attack using combat drones on Mishar base, targeting remaining intelligence centers inside, and simultaneously launched another drone attack on Katsafya barracks, achieving precise hits.
