Palestinian Resistance factions confirmed that today's shooting operation in the southern West Bank was a "natural response" to the atrocious massacres and the acts of genocide conducted by Israeli occupation forces.

In separate statements, the Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas, the Popular Resistance Committees, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), and Fatah al-Intifdada released statements against the backdrop of an operation in the al-Khalil governorate that killed three Israeli police officers on Sunday.

The northern West Bank is currently experiencing one of the widest-scale Israeli military attacks, specifically targeting Jenin, Tulkarm, and Tubas. As a result, several operations have been conducted by Palestinians in the southern West Bank in a show of support for their compatriots.

Hamas: Resistance until Palestine's liberation

"The [Palestinian] people will continue their path of jihad and resistance against the [Israeli] enemy, rejecting occupation, oppression, and aggression until Palestine is liberated and the al-Aqsa Mosque is cleansed..." Hamas explained.

The Palestinian Popular Resistance Committees echoed Hamas' statement, saying that the operation affirms the Resistance's "strength, significant effectiveness, innovative resilience, and legendary steadfastness."

PFLP: The train of Fidai operations can't be stopped

Meanwhile, the PFLP stated that the Tarqumiyah military checkpoint operation "proves the enemy's helplessness in the face of the will of the Resistance and redefines equations of deterrence in the occupied West Bank."

According to the Front, this operation "sends a strong message to the enemy that the train of Fidai (Resistance) operations is moving relentlessly, and no one can stop it."

Fatah al-Intifada:  The operation is a message of defiance

Fatah al-Intifada, a splinter group from the Fatah party, said that the operation showcases "the determination of our Resistance and its ability to strike the enemy with full force and precision."

"It sends a message of defiance that there will be no security or stability for the occupation as long as it continues its crimes against our people, our land, and our holy sites," the party stressed.

According to the Israeli Army Radio, the attack was a drive-by shooting on Route 35 near the Tarqumiyah checkpoint in al-Khalil.

The Palestinians who carried out the operation still managed to open fire, killing the Israeli police officers, and flee the scene despite significant Israeli security and military presence in the area. Nearly a day ago, two explosive-laden cars targeted the illegal settlements of Gush Etzion and Karmi Tzur near the same city. In these two attacks, at least four Israelis were injured, including the commander of the Etzion Brigade.
