Non-stop Israeli massacres in North Gaza: 16 killed in Beit Lahia
After a horrific massacre in the morning, the Israeli military commits yet another massacre in Beit Lahia.
The Israeli occupation committed a new massacre in northern Gaza on Tuesday evening, targeting a residential area in Beit Lahia, which resulted in 16 martyrs, including children, with others still missing beneath the rubble.
The spokesperson for Gaza's Civil Defense, Mahmoud Basal, said that there have been urgent calls for Civil Defense teams to head to the massacre's location. However, he reiterated that there are no longer Civil Defense or medical services in northern Gaza.
Additionally, the Israeli occupation forces destroyed homes around the al-Fakhoura School, west of Jabalia camp in northern Gaza, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
The Israeli bombardment extended to other areas of the Strip, where two more Palestinians were killed and others were injured in artillery shelling on the Safatwi area, northwest of Gaza City, our correspondent pointed out.
Moreover, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, Israeli warships opened fire at the beach opposite Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Earlier today, the Gaza Health Ministry confirmed the number of Palestinians killed since the start of the Israeli war on October 7, 2023, has risen to 43,061 martyrs, in addition to 101,223 injuries.
93 killed, missing in Beit Lahia
Earlier today, the Israeli occupation forces committed a horrific massacre in Beit Lahia, resulting in 93 martyrs and about 40 still missing under the rubble, along with dozens of injuries, following its bombardment of a five-story residential building.
The Government Media Office in Gaza confirmed that the occupation military committed this heinous massacre knowing that the targeted residential building housed more than 200 civilians, mostly children and women, displaced from their residential neighborhoods.
The Media Office added that this new crime coincides with the Israeli occupation's plan to destroy the healthcare system in northern Gaza by destroying its four hospitals and rendering them inoperative, while simultaneously blocking the entry of treatments, medicines, and medical supplies.
The massacre even prompted "Israel's" ally, the US, to call the strike that killed a large number of children, "horrifying".
"This was a horrifying incident with a horrifying result," State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters.
"We have reached out to the government of Israel to ask what happened here."
