Thousands of people gathered in the southern suburb of Beirut on Wednesday to commemorate Hezbollah leader Taleb Sami Abdallah (Abu Taleb), who was martyred on the path to al-Quds in a targeted Israeli airstrike carried out by the Israeli occupation late Tuesday on Jwaya in southern Lebanon.

In a speech during the procession, the Executive Council chief of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, emphasized that the occupation entity has not learned from past experiences of the battle against Hezbollah.

"Israel persists in its folly ... believing that assassinating [Resistance] leaders would weaken [it]," he declared, pointing out that experience has shown that the Resistance only grows stronger and becomes more steadfast following the martyrdom of its leaders.

Sayyed Safieddine stressed that "Israel must understand" that Hezbollah's inevitable response will be to increase operations in support of Gaza, "both in type and quantity."

In an explicit threat against the occupation, he said, "If [Israelis] are now whimpering and groaning from what has befallen them in northern occupied Palestine, then they should prepare themselves for weeping and wailing," referring to the impact of Hezbollah's operations.

Hezbollah's top official recalled the honorable history and achievements of martyr Abu Taleb.

He is "one of the heroes of the July 2006 war, and it is natural for him to always be a target" for the occupation, Sayyed Safieddine said.

The martyred leader "did not leave the battlefields and wars, he was born brave, grew up as a knight, fought as a steadfast fighter, and joined his martyred loved ones" in the end.

'Israel is on the verge of internal collapse'

Another ceremony was organized by Hezbollah in the southern town of Houmin al-Tahta to honor the martyr on the path to al-Quds Ali Issa.

Addressing the attendees, the head of the Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary Bloc, MP Mohammad Raad, emphasized that Hezbollah's operations on the Lebanese southern front come "in support of the Resistance in Gaza" with the aim of thwarting the "goals of the Zionist enemy."

"The Israeli army has become weakened, with a significant number of its soldiers either killed, injured, or suffering from psychological crises" and has now become "an army of disabled troops." The occupation army was "a murderous one rather than a combat-effective one."

"What shifted the balance [in the Resistance's favor] is the resilience of the Resistance fighters and of the people who support the [them]," he added.

Nine months into the Israeli genocide in Gaza, the occupation is yet to achieve any of its main war objectives - including "eliminating the Resistance" - let alone "absolute victory".

Despite the brutal aggression nearing its one-year mark, Hezbollah's senior official said that the "Resistance remains in Gaza," meanwhile, the United States, which deployed its battleships and manpower to the region to support "Israel is now forced to propose a draft resolution to the UNSC .. to stop the war on Gaza," fearing that if the occupation continues the aggression on the Strip, the Resistance would "[destroy] it".

He indicated that the "Israeli enemy is on the verge of internal collapse," highlighting the severe divisions striking the entity's government, in addition to the recent resignations by its top military and political officials. Moreover, Raad also shed light on the growing rift between Israeli settlers and their government and the lack of a common oversight between the military and security establishments.

"There is no coherent [leadership]; instead, weakness is infiltrating every [part] of the temporary and illegitimate entity. This is the result of patience, steadfastness, jihad, and martyrdom."

'The helpless situation in Gaza'

Responding to the continued Israeli threats against Lebanon, the MP stressed that "those who threaten Lebanon with war" must first "find a solution" to their helpless situation in Gaza.

"In any case, the Resistance is committed to its people and country, choosing the appropriate methods to confront the enemy by providing the necessary support for the oppressed [people] and Resistance fighters in Gaza and protecting the sovereignty, security, strength, and dignity of Lebanon against the Zionist enemy and its ambitions."

Raad considered that "the enemy, through its threats, is either seeking support or merely flexing its muscles." He emphasized that the Resistance is "sending clear messages to the enemy to avoid such ventures," referring to possible escalation against Lebanon, which includes launching a war against the country.

"Through these messages, the Resistance reaffirms its resolve and determination to counter any aggression, and its commitment to altering the [status quo] should the enemy think about such foolishness."
