Another Yemeni civilian was killed and 11 others were injured as a result of the renewed artillery shelling of the Saudi-led coalition on the border district of Shada, west of Saada Governorate, northern Yemen, during the past few hours.

This brings the total number of victims of artillery shelling and missile strikes by the Saudi-led coalition on the border districts of Munabbih and Shada to two martyrs and more than 50 wounded, including African immigrants, during the first week of January.

The Yemeni Ministry of Health in Sanaa government has so far documented the death and injury of 3,258 civilians, including African immigrants, as a result of the bombing of the Saudi-led coalition forces on the border areas in Saada since the beginning of the UN armistice on April 2, 2022, until the end of December of last year.

According to the Ministry, 285 civilians were killed and 2,973 others were wounded, including African migrants, as a result of the missile and artillery shelling of the Saudi-led coalition on the border areas west of Saada.

In its latest report prepared by the end of 2022, the Yemeni Ministry of Health revealed that the Saudi-led coalition targeted civilians in the border areas of Saada Governorate directly and deliberately, through artillery shelling and machine guns. It also reported on the Saudi army torturing victims with electricity and burning acid water; practices that amount to war crimes as per international charters.

Last month, a Yemeni citizen was injured by Saudi gunfire in the border district of Shada and was transferred to a hospital for treatment.

Two days ago, three civilians were injured by renewed artillery shelling of the Saudi-led coalition forces on the border district of Shada.

At the beginning of this month, eight civilians were killed by missile strikes and artillery shelling by the Saudi-led coalition, on the border district of Shada.

It is noteworthy that a human rights report issued late last month documented "the crimes of the US-Saudi aggression during the year 2022" and indicated that the total number of victims reached 3,083; 643 martyrs and 2,440 injuries.
