Omani delegation lands in Sanaa, Saudi to follow up: Reports
Yemeni sources report to Al Mayadeen that the Omani delegation, which arrived in Sanaa, is completing talks aiming to extend the armistice.
Sources told Al Mayadeen about the arrival of a high-ranking Omani delegation to the Yemeni capital, accompanied by the head of the Sanaa delegation, negotiator Mohammad Abdul Salam, to complete the talks to extend the armistice, after extending its terms and conditions.
Al Mayadeen's sources indicated that the Omani delegation's visit paves the way for the Saudi delegation, headed by the Saudi ambassador, Mohammed Al Jaber, to Sanaa, to negotiate with the Ansar Allah movement and agree to extend the armistice.
Likewise, Yemeni sources told Al Mayadeen that the Omani delegation is completing talks to extend the armistice in Sanaa after expanding its terms and conditions.
An exclusive source told Al Mayadeen on Friday that a Saudi delegation, headed by the Saudi ambassador and accompanied by an Omani delegation, will arrive in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, during the next two days.
The Saudi ambassador to Yemen briefed the Chairman and members of the Leadership Council on the details of Riyadh's reached agreement with Sanaa and their results.
The sources pointed out that the Saudi vision for the solution provides for extending the existing armistice in Yemen for another year, in exchange for handing over salaries, unifying the currency, and opening the port of Hodeidah in full.
Simultaneously, the head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, confirmed the continuation of efforts through negotiations to end the aggression on Yemen and lift the siege on it.
He added that they "hope that this will be achieved, that the damage will be remedied, and efforts will be crowned with a peace agreement that meets the demands of our dear Yemeni people, from Saada to Mahra."
As a member of the political bureau in the Ansar Allah movement, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti revealed in an interview with Al Mayadeen that "there is an understanding with Saudi Arabia," without going into details.
Earlier, the Yemeni Ansar Allah political bureau member, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, pointed out on Friday that the UAE taking part alongside Saudi Arabia in the aggression against Yemen was a big mistake, stressing that the UAE should draw lessons and withdraw from the country.
"We will not allow the presence of any UAE forces on any inch of Yemeni territory," al-Bukhaiti told Al Mayadeen.
The Yemeni official revealed that there is an understanding with Saudi Arabia but said he cannot disclose its details, adding that he cannot confirm or deny the news that a Saudi-Omani delegation will visit Sanaa soon.
Earlier, an exclusive source told Al Mayadeen that a Saudi delegation headed by the Saudi ambassador and accompanied by an Omani delegation will arrive in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, in the next two days.
The source said the delegations' visit comes to complete the negotiations and discussions regarding the armistice in Yemen and its renewal, adding that the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammad Al Jaber, visited Sanaa at the head of a delegation in early March.
