Only quarter of Americans say Trump policies helped them: Poll
Overall, 58% of Americans disapprove of how Trump handled his presidency, compared to 40% who approve.

Only about a quarter of Americans believe that US President Donald Trump’s policies personally benefited them, according to a new poll. The majority of respondents also feel that Trump fell short on key issues, particularly the economy and immigration.
The survey, conducted by the Associated Press and the NORC Center for Public Affairs Research and released on Thursday, found that 49% of Americans believe Trump’s policies did more harm than good, while 25% say they were helped, and another 25% say they were unaffected.
Overall, 58% of Americans disapprove of how Trump handled his presidency, compared to 40% who approve.
On specific policy areas, 55% disapprove of Trump’s approach to immigration, with 43% in favor. When it comes to the economy, 60% disapprove, while only 38% approve.
Trump also received low marks for his response to natural disasters, with 55% expressing disapproval.
Other areas where Americans show majority disapproval include 55% on his Middle East policy, 56% on his tax policy, and 61% on government spending.
Regarding trading negotiations with other nations, 61% disapprove of Trump's approach, while 62% disapprove of his healthcare policy.
The poll was conducted between July 10 and 14, after Trump signed his “big, beautiful bill” that extended his 2017 tax cuts and increased border security spending while cutting welfare programs, such as Medicaid and SNAP.
