Ghazi Hamad, a member of Hamas' decision-making political bureau, confirmed that al-Qassam Brigades foiled an Israeli advancement attempt, resulting in significant losses among soldiers and equipment.

In a press statement from Lebanon, Hamad called for the immediate implementation of the United Nations General Assembly resolution, describing it as a victory for Gaza, and urged the opening of the Rafah border crossing for the entry of humanitarian aid.

He additionally urged nations that have diplomatic ties with "Israel" to expel their ambassadors.

Hamad addressed the Israeli army's claims regarding al-Shifa Hospital, reiterating that it is a medical facility and is not used for any military purposes.

It is worth noting that "Israel" has issued a threat to potentially strike Gaza's main al-Shifa Hospital on Friday, which has prompted fears of an unprecedented and horrific massacre. Shortly after the Israeli threat, all communications and Internet services were completely cut off from the Gaza Strip, coinciding with unprecedented violent bombardment.

Simultaneously, Hamas denied the Israeli army's accusation that it is using hospitals to shield its operations, dismissing the charges as unfounded.

"There's no basis in truth in what the spokesperson of the enemy army stated," said Izzat al-Rishq, a senior member of the Hamas political bureau.

He implicated that "Israel" is making the allegations to "pave the way for a new massacre to be committed against our people."

"We call on world leaders to act to stop the crimes of genocide," he added.

On his part, Hamas' representative in Lebanon, Ahmad Abdel Hadi, stated on Saturday that Operation Al-Quds Flood will have significant strategic implications on the struggle with the occupation, altering the rules and equations to serve the interests of the Palestinian people.

Abdel Hadi sent a message to the Arab and Islamic nations to pressure the cessation of the Israeli aggression against Gaza, urging the world, which he stated uses double standards, to stand with the Palestinian people.

Earlier today, Hamas confirmed that the Palestinian Resistance foiled an Israeli ground offensive attempting to invade the Gaza Strip on three axes of the Strip on Saturday.

The Resistance movement revealed that the Palestinian Resistance lured intruding forces into several ambushes, leading to casualties among enemy lines.

It added that the Resistance used the 9M133 Kornet Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, as well as al-Yassin propelled tandem grenades to thwart the Israeli armored attack.

It is worth noting that al-Yassin munitions are locally produced replicas of the Russian PG-7VR charge, which had been battle-tested on October 7, proving their effectiveness against Israeli Merkava tanks.
