Hamas' representative in Lebanon, Ahmad Abdel Hadi, asserted on Saturday that the Resistance has not been defeated, emphasizing that wars consist of multiple rounds—some won, others involving painful blows—but never surrender.
Speaking during an event marking International Quds Day in Lebanon's Bekaa region, he stated, "We are engaged in a long struggle. Despite the painful blows and great sacrifices, we have not been broken, nor have we surrendered. We still possess weapons, willpower, and determination. Our flag remains raised, and we will continue in the arenas of resistance until complete victory is achieved."
Abdel Hadi stressed that "the blood of our martyrs, especially our leaders, has not been shed in vain. Anyone who believes that the assassination of our leaders will bring an end to the resistance in Lebanon, Palestine, or any part of our land, is delusional."
He also clarified that history proved that the martyrdom of leaders across the region, from Lebanon to Palestine, has only fueled the Resistance with even greater momentum rather than halt it.
Hamas' representative further affirmed that "the occupier will inevitably leave our region in defeat, by God's will, because we believe in our rightful cause, in al-Quds, Al-Aqsa, Palestine, and in every inch of our land and its resources."
During the same event, Hezbollah's deputy official for the Bekaa region, Faisal Shokor, reaffirmed that the Resistance will persist, regardless of the sacrifices, stating that "the blood of the martyrs and the souls given on this path are priceless."
Shokor further noted, "If the enemy believes that what is happening in Gaza or southern Lebanon will extinguish the light of the Resistance, it is mistaken," stressing that "the roots of the Resistance in Lebanon and Palestine will never be severed, and the coming days will prove it."
'Future belongs to Resistance'
On International Quds Day, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem expressed confidence that the Resistance will emerge victorious while emphasizing that "it is currently engaged in battle, but the battle is not over."
In his speech at the Al-Quds Podium event marking International Quds Day, observed on the last Friday of the month of Ramadan, Sheikh Qassem reiterated the slogan "We Remain true to the Pledge, O' Quds," asserting that the Israeli occupation has "excelled in genocide, not combat."
He added that "Israel has failed to legitimize even an inch" of the land it has occupied for 75 years, and that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood revealed that "the Israeli enemy is facing an existential crisis."
Meanwhile, Khalil al-Hayya, the head of the Hamas movement in Gaza, emphasized that "the Resistance has demonstrated its ability to take military and political initiative, despite all the destruction and starvation" and has succeeded in exposing the Israeli occupation as "the Ummah's strategic enemy."
"We are facing an unprecedented phase in the history of the nation, in which the resistance initiated Operation Al-Aqsa Flood to alter the rules of the conflict," al-Hayya underscored, adding that "time will not turn back, and the Resistance continues to develop its capabilities despite the blockade."
The senior Hamas official stressed that "there is no retreat from this path" and that since October 7, the Resistance has made every effort "to halt the aggression, killings, and terror carried out by the occupation, as well as its settlement expansion."
