Palestinian Authority: Islamic and Christian sanctities are a red line
Over 1,600 Israeli settlers raided the Old City of Al-Quds on Sunday: In response, top Palestinian figures call on the Islamic world to help and support Palestinians stationed in Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Quds.

A spokesperson for the Palestinian government urged support for Palestinians stationed in Al-Aqsa.
A spokesperson for the Palestinian Authority (PA) government, Ibrahim Melhem, urged the international community to enforce humanitarian laws which would hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes.
Melhem urged the Islamic world to help and support Palestinians stationed in Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Quds, and not to abandon them in the face of the Israeli occupation.
The official stated that "continued Israeli violations, the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the assault on worshipers reflect the occupation's arrogance."
On his account, President Mahmoud Abbas' spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh said that “Israel” is irresponsibly and recklessly playing with fire by allowing settlers to desecrate holy sites in occupied Al-Quds.
“Israel disregards the international community and does not respect the legitimacy of judicial decisions, not to mention that it considers itself above the law," Abu Rudeineh added as quoted by Voice of Palestine radio.
"Islamic and Christian sanctities are a red line, and their desecration can never be accepted," he stressed.
These remarks came after the Israeli occupation forces stormed the Al-Qibli prayer hall and sealed its doors with iron chains, in an attempt to secure the settlers' "Flag March".
"Israel's" provocative 'Flag March' has been going for years. In 2021, the march led to the 11-day aggression on #Gaza Strip. This year, #Palestinians are calling worldwide attention to raising the #Palestinian flag in defiance of the march. #RaiseTheFlag #لنرفع_علم_فلسطين pic.twitter.com/5iyIbFY0iJ
