On the 77th anniversary of the Nakba, Venezuela expressed its deep solidarity with the Palestinian people, reaffirming its commitment to the principles of international law, justice, and the right to self-determination.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Venezuela emphasized that the Palestinian cause is its cause, noting that "their heroic resistance is a source of inspiration for the free peoples of the world."
The ministry declared that the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people for justice, peace, and sovereignty are “a cry we raise for ourselves,” explaining that this stance stems from Venezuela’s belief that “freedom and dignity will flourish sooner or later on the land of Palestine.”
Regarding the Nakba, it said it “represented the beginning of systematic displacement, forced exile, and the ongoing suffering of millions of Palestinians who were uprooted from the land of their ancestors.”
It added that the Nakba “is a historic crime whose tragic consequences continue to this day and are now worsening due to ongoing genocide.”
Palestinian factions warn of renewed Nakba amid Israeli aggression
Earlier today, Palestinian factions declared that the Palestinian people are facing a renewed Nakba amid the genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. They emphasized that national unity and steadfast resistance remain the only path to thwart displacement and liquidation plans.
In a statement, Hamas affirmed that the unity between the Palestinian people and their resistance has already derailed numerous Israeli projects, stressing, “No new Nakba will be imposed, and Gaza’s steadfastness will not be broken.”
The movement reiterated that “the occupation has no legitimacy over any part of Palestine,” and pledged that resistance “will continue until liberation and return.”
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ) described the ongoing massacres in Gaza and the West Bank as "a continuation of the 1948 Nakba," asserting that the Resistance "remains unbroken" and continues to inflict losses on the occupation.
Meanwhile, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) described the situation in Gaza as a "bloody catastrophe," stressing that the appropriate response must be the establishment of a unified resistance front and the reconstruction of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) based on partnership and democracy.
