Palestinian child Ramzi Hamed was martyred on Monday, three days after he was shot in the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, by an Israeli settler.
The young boy, only 17 years old, was mourned by his family and town in a public funeral attended by scores of people.

Ramzi was shot in the abdomen three days ago by the guard of an illegal Israeli settlement while he was in his vehicle three days ago while passing by the entrance to the Israeli settlement.
The settler opened fire on the moving vehicle on Waer Al-Adas Street in Silwad, local sources reported after the child was hit.
Ramzi Hamed was the 219th Palestinian to be martyred at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces and Israeli settlers since the start of 2023. He is also the 13th martyr to die at the hands of the Israelis in the governorate of Ramallah and Al-Bireh.
Among the martyrs are 32 children from all over the West Bank. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces have detained 160 children, including 21 administrative detainees.
Settler attacks on Palestinians are recurring with systemic support from the Israeli occupation.
Even the United Nations highlighted a significant increase in attacks carried out by settlers in the West Bank against Palestinians, with around 600 incidents recorded since the beginning of 2023.
According to Palestinian WAFA, settlers stormed several areas in the western and northwestern parts of Burqa, set fire to two vehicles during the attack, and brought in sheep to a parcel of land nearby, indicating their intention to seize lands in the village.
The attack resulted in confrontations with Palestinian youths who rushed to protect their village.
The situation in the West Bank is very dangerous, saying, "What we have seen in recent weeks are dozens of terrorist operations against Palestinian villages without arrests," Colonel Kobi Merom from the reserves said.
These aggressions carried out by settlers are greenlit and covered by some Israeli ministers, he added.
