Palestinian detainees in occupation prisons close down all blocks
Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons continue to resist the prison service's latest measures and escalate their moves.
Palestinian prisoners detained in Israeli occupation prisons have locked down all their blocks amid their resistance to the prison service's latest enacted measures.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Club noted that these latest escalatory steps will rage on until Monday, after which the steps will depend on how the prison service responds to their demands.
The prisoners have shown their complete refusal of the prison service's rules by shutting down prison blocks and refusing to step out for what is called a "daily security check."
The Captive Movement asserted days ago that it will continue its escalation against the prison service's measures and announced that the escalation may lead up to burning down prison sections, rooms, and hunger striking.
The prisoners, according to the Movement, have begun their progressive escalation in retaliation to the prison service's denial of their human rights.

Earlier, the Palestinian prisoners' movement in occupied Palestine had declared a "day of anger" against the decisions of the Israeli prison administration.
In a statement, the Movement warned of an unprecedented stage of escalation that has not been seen for quite some time by the occupation’s prison system, adding that Palestinian prisoners protest Israeli collective punishment with “unprecedented' unity”.
On February 5, the Israeli occupation’s prison system has imposed new penalties on Palestinian prisoners, decreasing the time and number of prisoners allowed for yard time, in violation of prior agreements between Palestinian prisoners and the Israeli occupation’s authorities.
Every day, prisoners get an average of five to six hours in the yard, also known as the fora, which is split into morning and evening shifts. However, the time has been reduced by more than half.
