Palestinian factions condemn Arab diplomats' meeting with Blinken in occupied Palestine
The Palestinian factions denounced the Arab-American-Israeli meeting today in Al-Naqab, describing it as "the normalization meeting which embodies of the state disorientation."
Top diplomats from UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Egypt are due to arrive in occupied Palestine for a meeting chiefly focused on Iran concurrently with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit.
The Palestinian factions denounced the Arab-American-Israeli meeting today in Al-Naqab, describing it as "the normalization meeting which embodies a state of disorientation."
On its account, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) commenting on the meeting by saying that it reflects the loss of the Arab identity of those who chose to be part of the enemy's normalization project, questioning whether the Arab Foreign Ministers are this ignorant of the reality of the conflict in Al-Naqab.
Hamas has also denounced the Israeli-American-Arab meeting today in Al-Naqab, and asserts its refusal of all forms of normalization.
"The participation of Arab regimes in the meeting will not give the occupation legitimacy or security on Palestinian territories."
Ahead of the meeting, Blinken said in a joint statement with his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid that Blinken claimed that the meeting with Arab envoys “would have been unimaginable just a few years ago. What we’re seeing is normalization becoming the new normal for this region and I think it’s going to attract more and more countries as they see the benefits of these partnerships among so many of the leading countries of the region.”
Unsurprisingly, Blinken concluded by declaring that “the US has a sacrosanct commitment to Israel’s security," divulging that President Biden reaffirmed that again recently with the provision of $1 billion toward the Iron Dome, "something that has saved lives in the past and if necessary will do so again in the future.”
