Palestinian factions on Balfour Declaration: Resistance is crucial
On the anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, Palestinian factions voice their strong belief in the inevitability of victory for the Palestinian Resistance, which they assert is supported by the broader Axis of Resistance.
On the 107th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, Palestinian Resistance factions issued statements condemning the British-American colonial project that has taken root in the region. They emphasized that Resistance movements are actively confronting this project through Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement expressed that for over a century, starting in 1917, a nefarious promise led to the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people, while Western powers persist in their wrongdoing by backing the occupying entity in its violent campaign against Gaza.
The movement also emphasized that the commitment made by British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to create a national homeland for Jews was an unjust promise given by someone without the rightful authority to do so.
They contended that this commitment was established on foundations intended to eradicate the Palestinian people, resulting in their killings and the expulsion of those who remain outside of Palestine. The movement stressed that this agenda continues to be advanced by both Zionists and Western powers today.
On this anniversary, the Mujahideen Movement stressed that "Britain and the West bear full responsibility for the ongoing tragedy of the Palestinian people for over a century by establishing the entity state on our land after they financially, militarily, and politically supported the Zionist gangs."
The movement highlighted that the unwavering support from the United States and Western nations for the Zionist entity in its genocidal actions in Gaza is a continuation of the historical injustices inflicted on their people by major global powers over a century ago. They stressed that the entirety of Palestine belongs to them and affirmed their commitment to not relinquish any part of it, asserting that Resistance is the means through which they will reclaim their land and restore their rights.
Palestinian Resistance Committees
The Palestinian Resistance Committees declared that the ongoing massacres, acts of genocide, and ethnic cleansing are a direct consequence of the Balfour Declaration and the alliance of Western powers against the Palestinian people and the Arab world.
They emphasized that "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, alongside the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, their deep-rooted connection to their land, remarkable resilience, and courageous resistance, serves as a clear response to the conspiracies and schemes of the West and the Zionist-American enemy, which aim to uproot the Palestinian people and eradicate their cause."
The committees emphasized that despite the intense hatred, destruction, and violent Zionist-American attacks, the Palestinian struggle for freedom remains unwavering.
They expressed confidence that the Palestinian Resistance, backed by the Axis of Resistance, would eventually triumph. The legacy of the Balfour Declaration, they argued, will crumble in the face of the ongoing heroic efforts of resistance fighters in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and Iran.
DFLP condemns ongoing British support for the Zionist project
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, marking the anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, emphasized that without Britain establishing the Zionist project in the region, it would have struggled to find a foothold or refuge elsewhere.
The Front pointed out that British colonialism supplied the necessary elements for the Zionist settler-colonial project, including political commitments, land, water, and weapons. It also facilitated the immigration of hundreds of thousands of Jewish settlers, while the United States and Western Europe effectively shut their doors to Jewish refugees, thereby directing them toward Palestine and contributing to the establishment of a Jewish state on Palestinian land.
The statement also accused Britain of continuing to act against Palestinian interests, "openly participating in Israel's genocidal war and aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza."
The Democratic Front concluded by noting that, despite all the support Western colonialism has provided to the Zionist project, "the Palestinian people's Resistance has not wavered for over 100 years and will continue, showcasing legendary acts of heroism across the occupied Palestinian territories."
Freedom Movement calls for resistance and solidarity
In a recent statement, the Freedom Movement emphasized that the Balfour Declaration, seen as a dire historical injustice, granted the Palestinian people the right to legitimate Resistance in defense of their land, dignity, and sacred sites.
They articulated that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood represents a significant pledge and means for the Palestinian people to respond to the occupation of their land, as well as the imprisonment of thousands of their loved ones suffering in prisons, which arose from the establishment of a Zionist entity they likened to a parasitic and oppressive entity.
The movement condemned the Balfour Declaration and its repercussions as a stain on the conscience of the international community, particularly targeting the UK for its continued support of "Israel".
Moreover, the Freedom Movement highlighted the resilience of the Palestinian people, asserting that what is taken by force can only be reclaimed through force.
They reiterated a steadfast commitment to Resistance until the last drop of blood from the youngest Palestinian fighter, reaffirming their inherent right to defend their land and sacred sites.
The movement called on the international community, especially the United States and Western nations, to fully grasp this reality.
As the anniversary of the Balfour Declaration marks 107 years, the movement urged the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations, along with global allies, to take decisive action.
They called for breaking the barriers of fear and silence while supporting the Palestinian people's rights through resources and armament.
Additionally, the movement emphasized the need to expand the fronts of support and the Axis of Resistance, drawing inspiration from the solidarity demonstrated by fighters in Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, and Iran. The movement characterized the occupation and its supporters as a fragile entity, suggesting that their downfall through unity and collective strength is increasingly attainable.
