Palestinian injured by IOF fire amidst stabbing operation allegations
A Palestinian was injured after the IOF opened fire on him for allegedly carrying out a stabbing operation south of Occupied al-Quds.
Israeli occupation forces shot a young Palestinian man on Monday for allegedly attempting to carry out a stabbing attack south of the Occupied city of al-Quds.
Israeli Channel 14 reported that the shooting of the young man occurred after he allegedly attempted to carry out a stabbing operation at the Mazmuria military checkpoint, situated between the city of Beit Lahm and Occupied al-Quds. The report also stated that "no injuries were reported" among the Israeli soldiers.
The Israeli occupation police stated that the young man "pulled a knife and tried to stab one of the soldiers at the checkpoint," and that the soldiers opened fire on him, without specifying the nature of his injury until now.
Video clips shared by Israeli media showed a young man lying on the ground after the occupation soldiers shot at him, near one of the entrances to the checkpoint. Israeli media also announced that the young man was moderately injured and that he was arrested and taken to an unknown destination.

Palestinian eyewitnesses, according to local Palestinian media, stated that the occupation forces completely closed the checkpoint located south of Occupied al-Quds and east of the city of Beit Lahm to Palestinian movement.
To date, no official Palestinian information has been received about the young man’s health or identity.
It is noteworthy that the Mazmuria military checkpoint is set up east of the city of Beit Lahm, near the Jabal Abu Ghneim area, and is designated for transporting goods and vehicles bearing yellow Israeli license plates.
On another note, the event comes in light of a state of maximum alert declared by the occupation forces on the occasion of the Jewish New Year, which continues at separate times during the month of September and next October.
Moreover, Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied al-Quds on Sunday morning, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, to mark the occasion of Rosh Hashanah or what is commonly known as the Jewish New Year.
The settlers toured the courtyards of the mosque provocating Muslim worshipers. Footage filmed by activists in the mosque documented the incursion of the settlers into the holy Muslim site which was led by former Member of the Israeli Knesset Yehuda Glick.
