Palestinian prisoner Raed Badwan's health worsening in Al-Naqab prison
The Prisoners' Ministry in Gaza emphasizes that Raed Badwan's deteriorating health is due to the occupation authority's delay in transferring him to a hospital.
On Saturday, various appeals were made to urgently intervene and save the life of prisoner Raed Badwan (61 years old) as his health condition deteriorated while being held in AL-Naqab prison.
The Prisoners' Ministry in Gaza held the Israeli occupation fully accountable for the well-being of prisoner Badwan, emphasizing that his health decline resulted from the Al-Naqab prison administration's delay in transferring him to a hospital.
The Prisoners' Ministry has urgently requested the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to sed a medical delegation to visit Badwan, who has endured poor health conditions since his arrest in 2015.
Badwan's recent health complications come in light of recent escalating tensions in Al-Naqab prison between Palestinian prisoners and occupation guards. The Prisoners' Information Office confirmed that significant reinforcements from the anti-riot units of the Occupation Prisons Administration had been dispatched to the prison due to the ongoing escalations that erupted Friday evening.
In 2015, Raed Badwan sustained over 10 gunshot wounds inflicted by the Israeli occupation forces, and despite being treated, six bullets remain in his body. These lodged bullets cause him severe and chronic pain in the head, chest, hands, and back. Additionally, he also suffers from diabetes and hypertension.

Earlier this week, Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons sent, through Al Mayadeen, a message to the Jenin refugee camp and its heroic fighters, as well as the Jenin Brigade, in which they affirmed that day by day, they become more certain that victory is getting closer than ever.
"From the dungeons of oppression, injustice, and terrorism, we salute the Jenin camp, our [Jenin] Brigade, and the Resistance," the letter read.
"Greetings to Jenin of Tawalba, Jenin that points the gun straight into the enemy's chest and does not deviate from the straight path," it added.
The prisoners said that they "followed, moment by moment, second by second, the course of the Fury of Jenin Battle, your blessed bullets, your meticulous ambushes, and your great endeavor."
"With each passing day, we grow more certain that victory is getting closer than ever before and that the occupation will come to an end with the blessings of your pure [spilled] blood," they expressed.
