BREAKING
Sheikh Qassem: Our supporters make up more than half of Lebanon's population, and all of these people are united under the banner of protecting Lebanon, its Resistance, its people, and its integrity.
Sheikh Qassem: There will be no phased handing in of our arms. [The Israelis] must first enact the agreement before we start talking about a defensive strategy.
Sheikh Qassem: Be brave in the face of foreign pressures, and we will be by your side in this stance.
Sheikh Qassem: Stripping us of our arms is like stripping us of our very soul, and this will prompt us to show them our might.
Sheikh Qassem: We will not abandon our arms, for they gave us dignity; we will not abandon our arms, for they protect us against our enemy.
Sheikh Qassem: The US efforts we are seeing are aimed at sabotaging Lebanon and constitute a call for sedition.
Sheikh Qassem: If you truly want to establish sovereignty and work for Lebanon’s interests, then stop the aggression.
Sheikh Qassem: The United States, which is meddling in Lebanon, is not trustworthy but rather poses a danger to it.
Sheikh Qassem: The United States is preventing the weapons that protect the homeland.
Sheikh Qassem: The government’s latest decision [on the disarmament of the Resistance] is non-charter-based, and if the government continues down this path, it is not faithful to Lebanon’s sovereignty.

The spokesperson for the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Muzaffar Thouqan, said that the coming days will be days of confrontation with the Israeli occupation inside the prisons.

Thouqan told Al Mayadeen that the Palestinian prisoners need support from their people and nation, adding that the 24 of February will be the start of the days of rage, after a series of steps against the occupation had kicked off last Tuesday, including civil disobedience. The steps, according to Thouqan, will culminate with an open hunger strike starting on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

The spokesperson stressed that the confrontation with the Israeli government will be intense and that the prisoners are currently on the frontlines of resistance.

Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons continue their civil disobedience against the arbitrary and unjust measures of the prison administration for the fifth consecutive day, in rejection of the orders issued by extremist Police Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir to deprive them of their most basic rights, and the brutal attacks launched by the Prison Service against them.

According to institutions specialized in the affairs of prisoners, all options regarding acts of disobedience will be considered until the date set for the hunger strike. The prisoners' steps will depend on the position of the prison administration, and the developments that may occur during the coming period, while the Prisoners' Emergency Committee will remain in a state of alert.

On Friday, the prisoners staged a sit-in in the prison yards to protest against the unjust measures imposed on them by the prison administration, especially depriving them of many means of heating and hot water, despite the extreme cold.

It is noteworthy that the Supreme Emergency Committee for Prisoners called on the prisoners to declare a state of alert in all prisons, in anticipation of any development on the part of the occupation prison administration.

The Palestinian Prisoners Information Office confirmed on Wednesday that "the occupation prison administration is tightening the screws even more on 'Megiddo', 'Gilboa', Nafha, 'Ramon', and the 'Negev' prisoners, by imposing new punitive measures that affect their daily lives."

In "Nafha", "Negev", and "Ramon" prisons, the measures included prisoners taking their yard time handcuffed, closing the washbasins, and stopping sports activities," according to the Prisoners Information Office.
